It can only be decrypted with the use of a special 40-bit key that plugs directly into the back of the unit.

Connectivity
The SecureDisk comes with IEEE 1394 ports as well as a mini USB 2.0 port for compatability. Allowing you to transfer files between Mac's and PC's with either a FireWire or USB port. To operate enclosure via USB 2.0 on Mac OSX 10.3 and below you must install the USB 2.0 driver.
